Customer Rating: Summary: Slick little unit Comment: Bought this GPS device for my parents for Christmas, and was quite impressed. The UI is great, and I've had no problems picking up satellites on the road. Very slick. Customer Rating: Summary: Great for value! Comment: I've been using this device for 2 weeks. For me, the satellite log-in takes less than 30 seconds. Only once it took over a minute, and that was in downtown Portland, OR. My favorite feature is how it says "CAUTION" every time I speed. Maps are very recent and accurate. Take a wrong turn, it immediately re-routes your route. Voice guidance tends to be a little tricky to understand at first, but it's good overall. Overall, it's a great little device. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product for the money Comment: Pros: This product has done everything it is advertised to do and I have no complaints with it as far as performance goes. It's very easy to use and has been pretty accurate so far on all of the trips that I've taken.
Cons: If you want to use the Points of Interest feature very often, this isn't the GPS for you. When looking up local POIs, it would find about 6 while the Garmin would find 20. This is not a major issue but something to consider if you want that. Also, the free traffic updates that it advertises are not available in all areas so you may want to check to see if your city is listed on Navigon's website. Customer Rating: Summary: Inferior quality map Comment: Lots of features but the necessary features are not as good as compared to the other GPS systems (Tomtom and Garmin). I am a user of Tomtom 720. I wanted to give it a try but I did not like the quality of maps on this gps. The information displayed on the screen while navigation is limited. POI's are also limited. Finally i decided to return the product. Customer Rating: Summary: Navigon-the undiscovered gps Comment: Navigon has many of the same options as the "namebrand" gps systems. I think it gives you more for the money than the "namebrands". It shows you the street signs as they appear on the road and many of the smaller units come with free traffic alerts for life. It is very easy to use as well.
